Arts First Festival | Verdi Requiem
The Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and the Harvard Choruses (Harvard Glee Club, Radcliffe Choral Society, Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum) proudly present the dramatic intensity and soaring melodies of Giuseppe Verdi’s magnificent operatic Requiem on Saturday, April 30th at 3 P.M. in Sanders Theatre. One of the world’s greatest choral-orchestral works, Verdi’s Requiem was an immediate and spectacular success at its first performance in 1874. Join Harvard’s faculty-conducted ensembles as they perform this thrilling and deeply moving masterwork with an internationally acclaimed quartet of professional soloists.
