World Premiere: Benedict Sheehan’s A Christmas Carol

Saturday, December 6, 3:00 PM Sanders Theatre
Community Sing led by Cambridge Common Voices at 2:15 PM
Join the Harvard Choruses for the world premiere of Benedict Sheehan’s new orchestral setting of A Christmas Carol—a stirring retelling of Dickens’s beloved story for chorus, orchestra, and narrator Riley Vogel, an acclaimed stage and voice artist.
Expanding upon Sheehan’s critically acclaimed a cappella version premiered by Skylark Vocal Ensemble, this new score interweaves classic English carols and original composition to illuminate Scrooge’s journey from isolation to joy.
The performance will raise funds for the Y2Y Harvard Square youth shelter and will be preceded by a Community Sing led by Cambridge Common Voices, Harvard’s neurodiverse choral partnership, at 2:15 PM.
