Join us for the 104th Annual Harvard-Princeton Football Concert on Saturday, October 21 at 2 PM in historic Sanders Theatre! Following a century-old tradition, the Princeton and Harvard Glee Clubs will have a face-off of their own after Friday’s big game. The groups will be performing a variety of choral works, from Renaissance polyphony to American spiritual, from sacred Russian hymn to contemporary works and popular tunes. The concert will culminate with a rousing rendition of each schools’ fight songs to celebrate their victory on the field. Don’t miss the Glee Club’s very first concert of the season! It is our pleasure to introduce the newest member of the Harvard Choruses staff, Nathan Reiff. Nathan joins us as the Resident Conductor of the Harvard Glee Club. We are thrilled and honored to have Nathan on board the Harvard Choruses team! Former resident conductor, Harris Ipock, has accepted an appointment at Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia as a Visiting Choral Artist and Conservatory Choir Director. The Harvard Glee Club will be joining The Radcliffe Choral Society and The Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum to perform Michael Tippett’s A Child of Our Time on Saturday, April 22nd at 8pm in Sanders Theater. The Harvard University and University of Pennsyvlania Glee Clubs rekindle a historic relationship and come together for what’s sure to be an outstanding collaboration at Grace Church in New York City (802 Broadway, New York, NY) on March 25th at 3pm. Founded in 1858 and 1862 respectively, these two choirs represent some of the oldest and most venerated student performing arts groups in the nation. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite for $15 or $20 at the door.
Hard on the heels of its tour through Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan this winter, the Harvard Glee Club is excited to return home to Cambridge to perform, culminating our musical adventure around the world. You can join us, this Junior Family Weekend, for our New Year’s Tour Homecoming Concert on Friday, February 24 at 8 PM in historic Sanders Theatre. We’ll be singing a variety of choral works, from Renaissance polyphony to American spirituals to East Asian folk songs.
